About the Medical Device Design Group
The UCD Medical Device Design Group was founded in 2013 by Dr. Eoin O’Cearbhaill. Our group has three key thematic areas:
(1) Delivery devices, with a particular focus on platform technologies, offering smart ways of delivering next-generation therapeutics through minimally invasive approaches
(2) Novel implantable medical devices, including devices with embedded sensors and capacity for therapeutic delivery
(3) External assistive devices, including orthotics and mobility devices
