Stefano Deotti studied Mechanical Engineering at Universitá degli Studi di Udine (Italy) and is a certified Project Manager since 2017. He spent several years working at the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (Spain), participating in over 25 projects carrying out research activities focused on joint biomechanics, surgical techniques and wear of biomaterials, as well as contributing to the development of orthopaedic implants and diagnostic devices. During that period, he collaborated with a number of national and international medical device companies including Biomet, Surgival, Memometal and MediImplantes, providing support on product design and validation, regulatory activities and project planning. He continued these activities for two years as an independent consultant and then joined DePuy-Synthes to support a global quality remediation project in 2014.
Stefano joined the UCD Medical Device Design Group in 2017 to collaborate on the development of a bio-hybrid artificial pancreas and other disruptive medical technologies.
